Charities & fundraising
In the last few years St James has raised just over £10,000 and we’re not stopping there!
St James is a community school that really values its community spirit. Our kind students, parents and staff work hard to raise money each term to donated all proceeds to a local charity that is chosen by the students. Recent charities include:
- Guide dogs in which we sponsored a puppy (Leo) in memory of a past student;
- ZUK-a charity that’s research specialises in a rare genetic disease in young children;
- ELF-Exeter Leukaemia Fund;
- Supporting schools in Sierra Leone and Kenya;
- FORCE Cancer Charity;
- St Petrocks;
- Freddie Mercury fund;
- SnackPack; and,
- Devon Air Ambulance
Each term students think of new an inventive ways of raising the money we have non-uniform days, cake sales, bag packing, ‘fez’ wearing, Christmas jumper days the list goes on so if you would like to nominate a local charity then please be in touch with Mrs Tracey Wadeley-Jones on TWJ@stjamesexeter.co.uk
