At St James School we do our utmost to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities(SEND) and we appreciate that SEND can add a layer of additional anxiety and complexity to attending secondary school. We try hard to work alongside parents to support our students in a way that is as inclusive as possible and which will enable to fulfil their academic potential and prepare them effectively for their next steps on leaving us.
All the information about how we support students with SEND at the school is contained within our SEND report which can also be found here and also in our SEND Policy which is on the website too.
The school’s SENDCo is Ms Tamar Busby firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Head of Learning Support and Designated Teacher for Children in Care is Katie Hindmarsh email@example.com
We would invite you to share any concerns, questions or successes as we find that good communication is at the heart of effective provision.
