We have been informed today that there has been a further unrelated confirmed case of Covid-19 within our school in year 9. As a result, the bubble of 101 students who have been identified as being in close contact with the affected individual have been asked to now stay at home and self-isolate, until Wednesday 28th October. Staff, parents and carers of other year groups have also been notified of the situation.
The health, safety and wellbeing of all of our staff and young people is our absolute priority. We have put extensive measures in place to mitigate against the risk of transmission. The cases confirmed to date are separate, isolated cases, originating from outside the school. We will continue to monitor the situation, working closely with Public Health England.
The school has implemented home learning methods through our parallel curriculum to ensure that those students who have been sent home are able to continue their learning by using all resources available, and to support parent/carers and pupils during this time.
Please be assured that the Ted Wragg Trust is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all of its pupils and staff and are following guidance from Public Health England, to ensure that our school communities and those around them are best protected.
