A massive well done to the boys Year 7 boys Rugby team who won the inaugural Ted Wragg Trust tournament. The games were held at St James and we were joined by fellow trust schools Cranbrook, Isca and West Exe. The boys have been training hard this term and were rewarded with three dominant wins, prevailing 30-0 over Isca, 25-5 over West Exe, and rounding off with a 25-0 victory over Cranbrook.

All the games were played in tremendous spirit and it was especially pleasing to see so many boys playing their first ever contact game of Rugby with such confidence. The team was led by Jacob Hay-Laing who was superb throughout, ably supported by the impressive Seth Sharland as vice-captain. All the players worked incredibly hard, particularly in defence, and to only concede one try in three matches is a testament to this. In no particular order, congratulations to the squad members; Lucas Hackworthy, Ruben Bates, Luke Daysh, Harvey Hudson, Caleb Hizzett, Luke Greenslade, Chayton Phillips, Aydan Bowen, Kane Holcombe, Riley Jones, Will Walker, Alfie West, Max Indyk, Billy Talbot.

Training takes place every Wednesday from 3-4pm. Please bring your gum shields and boots if you have them. Thanks and well done! Mr Chalmers
